Biography

Geraldine E. Grossman draws upon more than two decades of experience in executive coaching, talent acquisition and human resources management.  She has supported hundreds of leaders globally to significantly improve their leadership effectiveness, to enhance their personal influence, to set and achieve their goals, and to think and perform more strategically.

Ms. Grossman's clients include top executives and leaders in technology, healthcare, manufacturing, broadcasting, retail, academia, and in not-for-profit organizations.

From 1988 until 2001, Geri was employed as a senior human resources executive by Ingram Micro, a Fortune 100 corporation, the world's largest technology distributor and a leading technology sales, marketing and logistics company.  She oversaw the company's east coast facilities which grew from 200 employees to almost 2000 employees during her tenure. Under Geri's leadership, Ingram Micro was recognized for its many innovations in its recruitment and retention practices.

In 2002 Geri founded My Executive Coach, a national consultancy that provides leadership development, talent acquisition, and executive coaching services to organizations and executives, helping them to enhance significantly their personal effectiveness and, hence, to increase their organization's productivity, performance and profits.

Organizations that have called upon My Executive Coach for coaching services include the Johnson School of Business at Cornell University; the Community Health Foundation - Health Leaders Fellows Program; the International Council of Fine Arts Deans; and AAA of Western New York.

Ms. Grossman is a trained and certified user of the Hay Group's Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI),  the Inventory of Leadership Styles (ICL), and the Organization Climate Survey (OCS) as well as Hogan Personality Assessment Systems,  She has used the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the FIRO-B, the DISC, and other powerful and effective assessments  - all of which help her clients gain better self-awareness and insights - for personal  and organizational success.

Based in Buffalo, New York and Asheville, North Carolina, Ms. Grossman is well known and respected in these communities for her professionalism, leadership and community involvement. She has received many honors and awards, including recognition for Outstanding Excellence in the field of Human Resources by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and Executive of the Year by the Muscular Dystrophy Association for Geri's Outstanding Community Service.

In 1986, Ms. Grossman graduated with distinction from Syracuse University and has subsequently pursued graduate work at the Creative Studies Program at Buffalo State College.  She has received professional training in executive coaching with such prestigious organizations as Linkage with Marshall Goldsmith and the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland where she completed all of the requirements to receive certification in its Organization  Systems Development (OSD) International Gestalt Coaching Program (accredited by the International Coaching Federation).  She is currently enrolled in the 2006-2008 class of Organization & Systems Development Program at the Gestalt Center in Cleveland.
