Biography

Geraldine Grossman brings more than twenty years of experience in Leadership Development, Executive Coaching and Human Resource Management in both corporate and community settings to her consulting engagements.

Ms. Grossman started her career in the Metro NYC area providing Human Resource Management, Talent Acquisition and Leadership Development, for businesses across diverse industries, including Manufacturing, Retail and Broadcasting.

Ms. Grossman then moved to Buffalo, New York, assuming the position of Senior Director of Human Resources for Ingram Micro, a $30+billion, global provider of products and services for the technology industry. During her thirteen-year tenure at Ingram Micro, the organization grew from 200 to almost 2000 employees, earning many state and local awards for creative recruiting and employment practices.

Ms. Grossman currently delivers Executive Coaching and Leadership Development programs. She is committed to help leaders and teams become more effective in achieving outstanding performance in their roles. Through confidential feedback, individuals’ unique strengths and opportunities for development are identified, then developed by Ms. Grossman through ongoing coaching, feedback and support.

In order to achieve impressive results with her clients, Ms. Grossman became an accredited user of the Emotional Competence Inventory™ (ECI), the Inventory of Leadership Styles™ (ILS) and the Organizational Climate Survey™ (OCS), through the Hay McBer Group. These assessment and development tools, based upon 35 years of competency research, are unmatched in their precision and authenticity.

Based in Buffalo, New York and Asheville, North Carolina, Ms. Grossman is well known and respected in these communities for her professionalism, leadership and community involvement. She has received many honors and awards, including recognition as Outstanding Excellence in the field of Human Resources in 2000 by the Society for Human Resource Management, and as Executive of the Year in 2001, by the Muscular Dystrophy Association for Outstanding Community Service.

In 1986, Ms. Grossman graduated with distinction from Syracuse University, and has subsequently pursued graduate work at the Creative Studies Program at Buffalo State College. Since 1992, she has been an active member and contributor to Leadership Buffalo and serves on many diverse boards throughout New York State. She maintains professional affiliations with the Creative Problem-Solving Institute, the Hay McBer Group, American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Center for Creative Leadership, Coachville, and the International Coaching Federation.
